Your Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Journey to the Misty Mountains of Bwindi

Your adventure begins in Kampala or Entebbe. You will meet your professional safari guide who will brief you on the journey ahead. We will drive southwest through the beautiful Ugandan countryside. Along the way, you will see the Equator (a great photo stop!), rolling hills, and local farms. We will stop for lunch in Mbarara before continuing to the dense forests of Bwindi. You will arrive in the evening, check into your lodge, and enjoy a delicious dinner while listening to the sounds of the forest.

Day 2: The Unforgettable Gorilla Trekking Experience

This is the day you have been waiting for! After an early breakfast, your guide will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. You will be assigned to a gorilla family group. Trekking can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are. You will hike through the thick forest, guided by expert trackers. The moment you find the gorillas, you will be given one hour to spend with them. Watch them eat, play, and rest. It is a deeply moving experience.

Day 3: Return to Kampala

After breakfast, we will check out of the lodge and begin our journey back to Kampala. We will stop for lunch en route and arrive in the late afternoon or evening. Your guide will drop you at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your safari.
